Uttar Pradesh holds the distinction of being the largest producer of food grains, horticulture, sugar and milk production in the country.

It gives an opportunity to tap this immense potential in Uttar Pradesh for making it a hub of Agri-business including food processing industry. Government of UP has recently taken many initiatives under “Ease of Doing Business” to promote healthy eco-system for investments in the state. With the advancements of technologies in food storage and processing and changing pattern of consumers, agriculture is now no more is a standalone activity. The prospective skills of agriculture activities like horticulture, floriculture, animal husbandry etc., are to be harnessed for Doubling of Farmers’ Income by 2022. This cannot be achieved with government initiatives alone. All the stakeholders, financial institutions, scientists, students and above all farmers have to contribute to make agriculture as an entrepreneur where focus has to shift from farmers to Agri-entrepreneurs.

KRISHI KUMBH 2018 is a high profile conglomeration of farmers, scientists, industrialists, research institutions and policy makers to generate awareness among farmers, to define latest technologies and to showcase the business opportunities in Agro processing for business houses.
